Chapter 9 What A Cheating Heart?

Most of the time Alex lived alone,later was joined by another friend just another Cheah,a joker in fact.They always moved around together,even on dates he will take him along but go separate ways when he was on date with Queenie.

Every morning he also followed Alex to the second division for muster and for office work in the afternoon.It was rainy season and the plantation road was very slippery.Alex being young always rode his motor cycle at great speed.One afternoon with this Cheah as pillion rider went along with him to the second Division.

The crazy Alex again as before rode at a very fast space, connected a shaped corner and the bic skidded uncontrolled dashing straight ahead. Plunging into a stream below and missing the bridge.It was like flying over a ridge and lost hold, crushing directly into the stream below.Fortunately both of them had the weight to remain seated on their seat.The crushing landed among huge rocks in the stream.

They were never dislodged from the motor cycle by the crushing down but Alex sustained injuries to his his forehead,just above the eyes and also cuts on the left eye brow.Blood was streaming down fast from those injuries.Other than that they were not hurt.Alex washed the blood from his face with the stream's water but it was still bleeding.

With blood spatted face Alex and the other Cheah climbed up the ridge of the stream,hailed a passerby to request for help from the main office.Help was fast to come and Alex was immediately dispatched to the Hospital.Dr.Dorai was at hand to do the stitching for him again."Well.well.what do we have here? Again another accident?.Last time was your lips this time your forehead,you surely are a hero.This time the scars will either make you more macho or more ugly?",said the good doctor.

That knocked the guts out of him.On seeing this the good Doctor told him."No lah,I was just joking with you"."You can be discharged after this,lah?".So after those treatments and with medication subscribed he was discharged without fuss.

Dear Queenie was at the hospital and went back with him to the plantation.After dinner Alex sent her home to town despite his injuries.She wanted to stay back and cared for him but he insisted of her returning home.Out right she cared for him but Alex was stiff hearted,or was he not?.

It was not a very serious injuries so Alex returned to work almost immediately.With the plasters plastered on those wounds everyone began asking him questions like "how are you?" and "Are your injuries serious?'.He replied,No,no,I am alright and can work already".Well people were always inquisitive and trying to be thoughtful.

No sooner had he recovered he broke off with Queenie after a minor tiff.They quarreled over petty things.But for Alex it was totally different he was guilty conscious as he tend to call out the name of his first love each time they made love.Despite the fact that she was no more available Alex who was so obsessed very often had nightmares about it and many a times wake up in the middle of a dream with tears flooding eyes,for he actually loved her dearly.No matter how he tried he still loved her dearly,first love no matter what was always difficult to forget despite the long period of lapsed.

He did not enjoyed the break off with Queenie much but forced to put a stop to it.He thought that by breaking up was the best solution out for he did want to harm her further or jilt her
What a cheating heart he was?She took it real hard,and was badly hurt and as she loved him dearly she kept quiet about it.

Meanwhile feeling jilted,she sadly left Bentong to work else where just to forget the whole episode.Alex did not know that she had left town.He too was sad at the broke off but there was nothing he could do as he felt he could not forget his first love no matter how hard he tried .He believe that it not right to make love to one while in actual fact his mind was besieged by another.

With Queenie position vacant Alex went out and was rumoured to be having affairs with two other girls from the village.Was those rumours true,no never they were just friends.In a small village news traveled fast at the slightest acquaintances. He only chit hatted with two beautiful girls and that was all.The gossips went flying all over,tagging Alex as a playboy.No sooner had he broken with one he went after two more.What a ridiculous assumption?

Alex had another new friend staying with him.This time a younger friend from Teluk Anson.This guy was tall and handsome and easily drew the attention of numerous in town and the village.On one occasion he dated a tall girl from Bentong and he went out on date with her but instead of going alone she brought along a friend.All he wanted was one to one date,so he tagged Alex along.

Alex reluctantly went along.They went for a show and also went round town.After supper they sent those girls home.He was to take one home and Alex had to escort the other home.Alex walked her home through dark lanes in the village and he nearly slipped but was protected by her holding to him.At first he wanted to kiss her in those dark lanes but on second thought he remained aloft and did not make any advances for he does want to hurt another.

Not that the girl was not beautiful but on the contrary she was well built,charming and beautiful.She acted as though she had expected him to kiss her but he disappointed her.Alex even told her you are beautiful and told her he will see her again for the next date.Then he bide her goodnight and left.His friend had expected him to stay longer perhaps long enough to make love to her.No,Alex did not want to hurt another soul.His friend was not agreeable to his attitude.

Alex was given a brand new BSA sport motor cycle by the plantation.This time he surely can fly faster while older motor cycle was a write off after so many accidents by Alex.The Manager was really very kind to him.With that flashy motor cycle Alex was bolder in tackling other girls.He and Ivan Hoe his friend from Teluk Anson went raiding after girls.

They once again dated those two girls but this time Alex did not leave any stones unturned.He kissed the girl on sending her home in that dark lane.Some rowdies saw him kissing that girl and wanted to assault him,but the girl rebuke them and simultaneously calling out her brothers who came out from their house nearby almost immediately.The rowdies on seeing them apologized and left.Her brothers were friendly and invited him to sit in their house.

Alex remained in that house for a few minutes and wanted to leave but the girl was reluctant to let him go,so they went out for a strode.Alex did not make any more advances towards her but he did hold her hands.He ought to be careful as that place was full of gangsters lurking around and any wrong moved might ultimately landed him in trouble.As it was getting late Alex left promising another date.Well they continued dating.His friend Ivan Hoe was already firmly attached to her friend.
A somewhat misfit as she was at least three to four years older than him.Her friend with Alex was much younger but can she induced Alex to forget that first girl then she should be the winner but never.

Alex in the meantime applied for an Assistant manager position with Good Tree Sdn Bhd,and went for an interview with them.A European Manager interviewed him and with him giving him an excellent impression the interview was over in a short time.He was to wait for the good news later.

His plantation Manager gave him a very good testimony for the interview,so he had hope for the best.On returned he continued his job at that plantation.As routine he rounded the fields evety day,supervising his rubber tappers.Many a times he liked to ride up to a spot which was rocky and more than one thousand five hundred feet above sea level,to enjo its scenery and cool breeze.That area was still immature rubber so it was very quiet there.

He liked to move around these rocky field and once he discovered the skeleton of a huge rusa.Its horns were missing though.Must have been wounded by some hunters and perished there without anyone finding it.Obviously someone was there before Alex for the horns of it were missing.

In any case it was a beautiful place to relax.Alex dared not stay around long in that area as that place was known to have tigers as it was just adjacent to the jungle.Although rubber had been established there up to two thousand feet above sea level,the trees seem to be not growing well also it was very windy up there.

Alex next made friend with another younger girl aged about seventeen name Carol.Later they became very closed and she was from Chamang New Village,Bentong.Alex thought that maybe a younger girl might help boost up his love for her thus inducing him to forget that past.A girl of seventeen was never matured sufficiently to fulfill his requirements.She was much too naive and raw.

A message also arrived bringing good news that he had been selected by Good Tree as a Probationary Assistant Manager and was to report for duty as soon as possible.Subsequently Alex gave his Manager a month's notice to terminate his service with that plantation.The elated Manager congratulated him and accepted his notice.

In July 1966 he left that plantation to join Good Tree in their plantation in Port Dickson.Before he left he bide Carol farewell promising to return to see her whenever free.Of course they had a wonderful time together during those very last moments.

Chapter 8 Lovely Girls Who Stole His Heart

Bentong was actually a lovely town,a town with two main streets,surrounded by few New Villages.Before entering the town you have Karak and by its left side there was Perting,Kamatsu just across a river and further down town there was Chamang and Lipas.Its population consisted mainly of kongsai people with some Khek,Hokkien and Cantonese.

Main attraction to this small town was the very beautiful scenic waterfall in Chamang,situated quite a distance from town.It should not be a miss for tourists.Most of its residence had small rubber plantations around the district.Durians from here were also well known without leaving out its beautiful girls.

Alex had many friends from this village and once in a while will gather them together to catch edible frogs in the evening.These frogs comes out at night to catch smaller insects for their meals.They were easily stunned by the sight of bright torch lights and easily captured with bare hands.At times it could be very dangerous as whenever there were frogs the poisonous vipers also made their presence.Frogs from this clear and fast flowing river were extremely big in size and much cleaner in appearance when compared with frog caaught elsewhere.

Some of these frog catchers were so experienced that they were daring enough to catch these vipers with their bare hands.With lightning speed snipped off its tails with a razor sharp knife and sucked its blood directly into their mouth.Eerie and nostalgic feelings for Alex but not to these people.It seem that was good for cleansing their blood and increase lipido.

Frogs captured were deep fried and consumed with chilli sauce ,many a times cooked with porridge which were equally sweet and tasty.Alex had great funs with this frog catching experienced.Those days the shallow fast flowing river also surpringly yielded a great varieties of fresh water fishes but to day that was history due poisoning of the river by unscrupulous people.What a sad end to that river.

Alex was almost every night in town either going for shows or going after girls.Well he had a number of girl friends too.But he had not developed an interest in any of them as yet.But he was actually taken note of a petite slim girl always moving around town with a kid brother tagging along from behind.He did not know her and was interested in her,but not one of his friends seem to know her.So it was very much up to himself.

Back at the plantation there was the girl in front of his residence,he was always admiring her from afar and smiling with her.There were times he invited her to his apartment for conversations and there were times he wanted to kiss her but held back.She was tempting him all the while but he relented and stopped from advancing further.

From his early morning for breakfast he came across another young and beautiful girl,they became friends and at times she will joined him for a bowl of Wan Ton Mee.One morning he dated her and she agreed to go out with him.That evening he took her out on his motor cycle to town.While she held on to him, he purposely sped at shape corners,gliding here and there, where she held him tightly,so before the date was over he had kissed her outright.What a lovely evening.Her name was Meow Meow.

Once back at the plantation he guided her to his house and continued romancing with her until very late at night and then he sent her home.It was a lovely evening.He did not request for another appointment for the following night,instead he stay back home relaxing,thinking about his conquest.That girl was very fair and beautiful,got a small mouth.She was not talkative at all.She actually was from Ruab.

While running wild imagination about her the girl in front called out to him and he invited her inside his house and they talked.They enjoyed talking with each other but as she going down the stairs she nearly slipped and Alex caught hold of her,pulling her towards him he kissed her.She responded possessively grabbing him with all her might.Now he had a big problem that is which of the two should he choose,there can be no two hearts.He thus was in a dilema.

He could sense it that the girl living in front,named Carol, knew about his affair with this new girl ,Meow Meow,what should he do? Maybe nothing at the moment,just wait to see who suit him most.Whatever was in his mind it was imperative he made a fast decision to choose only one and it can never be two,but two will be a luxury.Fat hope.

However his worries were uncalled for, after this the girl,Carol soon met with a car accident the next day and was hospitalized.He did see much of her accept buying a box of chocolate for her on one of his visit at the hospital.She was hospitalized for few days.

During her absence Alex too did not see that girl from the village as he was to attend an Outward Bound Course at Lumut,Perak.The course was for three weeks so he was away from the plantation for almost a month.What a relieved for him?.

When he finally returned the plantation to work,many things have changed.First the girl in front of his house had a new boy friend,what a shocked.Apparently another young man was very persistent going after her.Visiting her almost every day when she met with the accident,thus they became good friends in the absence of Alex.Alex did asked her why? Her replied was,"Where were you when I met with the accident?.I thought you were no more interested in me,so when this young man was so nice and loved me,I accepted him".

Realizing that he was partly his fault that he did not inform her of his trip to the Outward Bound School in Lumut.As for that girl Meow Meow from the Village she had left for her home in Ruab,although he made several attempts to find her but failed, ultimately lost all contacts altogether.What a sheer coincidence?.

Alex lost both girls just like that how unfortunate.All the same after work every day he ventured out to town to be with his friends.He met one Tang and they became buddy for some time.One evening as they were walking towards a theater they met two lovely girls,one fat and one slim.Surprisingly Tang apparently knew both of them.

He introduced Alex to them,what a coincidence the slim, petite and charming girl was the one Alex was eying for earlier.Yes,she was the one that always moved around town with a kid brother tagging along.Alex admired her good looks but it was never love at first sight,rather he was infatuated with her beauty and soft talking.All of them conversed for sometime and then they departed.

Two days later Alex met both of them in town and walked around town with them.Alex showed his interest in that slim girl by the name of Queenie and forgot the name of the other.Apparently the fat one seem more interested in him but Alex ignored her out right.How rude of him?.

Next evening he followed up and went straight to Queenie's house surprising her with that visit.The shy girl quickly moved him aside but he refused to bulge unless she goes with him and she agreed just anxious to get rid of him in the front of her house.Whatever it was it was a fresh start,a very good beginning.

That night they had a lovely outing and Alex did not make any advances towards her.From there their relationship became blossomed.Then came one rainy evening Alex waited for the rain to stop so that he could return home to the plantation,just in front of her house.Her parents had invited him to wait within their home but Alex was too shy to move further.

That evening it was raining "cats and dogs"and appeared to be going on forever without any compromised to slower down.Alex stood outside their pouch with her leaning at the side of the doors.As she talked and talked, Alex seized that golden opportunity and planted a kiss on to her beautiful and juicy lips.She responded and they kissed each other for quite a moment, with Alex holding her face tightly with both hands.It was apparently her first kiss with anyone.it was a lovely kiss,no doubt about that.

With that kiss their courtship was sealed.But that kiss did not stopped the rain as it continued to fall for another hour or so.When the rain finally became weaker and in drizzling Alex rode home in the rain.Smiling and whistling as he rode home in the rain.He was wet throughout when he reached home but his heart was very warm as he had found a new love hopefully she can replace that girl at first sight.

He would date her every evening going for shows and for walks,but in a small town there were nothing much to do accept these.There was nothing wrong with her and she was quite a hard working too.For she was a hair dresser in the afternoon and evening.Alex would date her thereafter.She also helped her parents to attend to their rubber holdings in the early hours,plus performing house chores.

Their relationship reached its very height in that Alex had taken her back to Teluk Anson on several occasions to meet his family,but there was no hint of marriage as both were very young.Alex was then about twenty-three and she about twenty.The numerous trips back to his home town proved they were well attached to each other.

There was never a doubt that she loved Alex dearly but the fact remained that the stigma still embedded within Alex's mind.That was because he was still obsessed with the first love at first sight.Very often he still unconsciously called out her name when romancing with Queenie,what a pity?.Fortunately Queenie never heard those words otherwise it would have been chaotic for him.

As the Chinese saying goes,"Those who climbed many mountains will surely encounter the presence of a tiger in those mountains".Well that meant that he have to be doubly sure never to repeat those words again but can he?I doubt.First love were difficult to erase from his memories,always.

Chapter 7 - Beautiful Pahang Lasses.

Arriving at Bentong from Kuala lumpur - that horrible two hours trip of winding roads plus those up and down running of the bus caused him to vomit.Vomited until he was pale and shivering.He had travel sickness all the way.What a trip?.This was his first trip to Pahang and what horrible ride to hell?

On arrival at the station he had to clean his face and mouth,had a cup of warm coffee to freshen up then on recovering his composure he called the plantation he was to work in.However the Manager was not available because he was in the fields and he left a message.So he waited for him to be back.

It was a long wait about two hours or more that the Manager came in his land rover to fetch him.This Manager was the same man he first worked under.They had lunch in town before going back to the plantation.No sooner had they ordered their lunch they were joined by two other of his friends,and they began to drink.Bottles of beer were ordered,the session went for another three hours before they call it a day.What a hectic day?.

Alex being young could not drink but nevertheless they encouraged him to drink as well.So he obliged and drunk a glass or so.One man was apparently a Police officer while the other a businessman.Thereafter they left for home.The Manager drove for more than half an hour before they reached the plantation's office.

On arrival Alex was shown his place of stay,it was just above the office.As there were only two rooms Alex selected the front room which faces the main entrance road and the main road.Secondly because the room was very airy which suited him just fine.
That night he had a nice sleep,despite the opened windows there were no mosquitoes.

On the next early morning the Manager took him around the fields and also took him to the Division he was to be in charged.On returning to the office he was given a motor cycle,a 250cc BSA motor cycle.He was to use that for his transport around the fields and he could make used of it to go out to town as well.He was fortunate as the Manager was willing to supply him with food for lunch and dinner.

Thereafter he was on his own as he went round the fields initially the senior conductor had to show him the way but that was for the first two days only.The Division was slightly more than 2000 acres,almost fully matured accept for some replanting areas.As usual he attended muster every early morning,riding through the cold and freezing misty morning air.At times as he reached the Division both his fore arms were already wet by moisture of the morning dews.

All his tappers were residences workers,about 70% Indians and 30% Chinese.Chinese mostly female tappers.There were large acreages of PBIG seedlings trees all matured and in full tapping,the other fields were RRIM 600 small acreages of RRIM 605 and PB 5/51.With so big acreages in tapping his work was thus very interesting and the very hilly terrain made it better.But hilly terrains had its shortcomings,come rainy days his motor cycle at times was not serviceable because the roads will then be very slippery for motor cycles.Tappers had to be sent into the fields by tractors.

Latex collected for the day were sent to the factory in the main division in churns.All these transportation by tractors only.Lorry with tankers were not used due to the hilly terrain of the plantation.The plantation produced its own rubber smoked sheets and therefore have their own smoke houses.In fact the factory and the snoke houses were next to the office where Alex lived.

There was a river behind Alex residence,across which was a Chinese village named Sungei Penjuring New Village.There were two coffee shops over there and Alex had his breakfast there because one shop had "Wan Ton Mee".Breakfast was seemingly cheap and further can eat first and pay later,that served Alex purpose,can settle at the end of the month.How wonderful?.

Morning breakfast was wonderful as there were many girls from the village passing by to catch the bus to town to work or some other chores.Some of these Pahang lasses were quite beautiful,catching the eyes of Alex.Alex being the new kid in village was under their scrutinized watchful eyes.Those were the happy days.

As Alex destined to have some one else in mind never attempted to make friends with any of them.Every evening after his duty in the plantation he will sit in front of his windows to watch the proceedings around as its was the main entrance road.Directly in front also another small building where a family dwelt.A charming young girl will always sit at the porch in all evenings,much to the delight of Alex,but he was cautious not to proceed any further than that as usual his mind was only filled with the first girl at first sight.

Well beautiful girls every where not one for him how ridiculous?How one love can change his life ,or did it changed his life,no,never he was so madly in love the first love that he tried not to think of other girls.This one side love was not doing him any good definitely,but he was dead serious about it,so it did not altered his life.

Life will soon changed for a few months stay in that plantation his younger brother paid him a visit during which he diverged that Linda his first love had married.He was devastated for lost of words at the bad news and he cried like a baby in secret that night.He was heart broken and felt lost in this wretched world,how can it be so cruel to him.He had full fate that could not have happened to him.Destination thus failed him tremendously .

Saddened by his fate,had he the bravery he would have ended his dear life but he was a coward and realized that was not the way out,so he continued to strife on to make a success in life.Yes soon he will get over it,so instead of trying to destroy himself he gather his courage and strength to strive on. He knows his capability and that were not fully utilized nor exploited as yet,he was made for better things in life. Or the time has not come for him to brightened his potentials and with confidence he can succeed.

Losing a girl friend should not be the end of the world,realizing that should he exposed himself fully to the world many girls will be attracted to ho him especially that he was young,handsome and available.From there he can easily pick and select the one that has the qualities that can overshadowed Linda,his first love.Could be more lovely too.So there so no need to cry over split milk.

He began growing out to town in the evening on his motor cycle,meeting many friends both young men and girls but non seem to suit his tastes.One late evening as he was returning to the plantation in heavy rain he was connecting a corner in high speed a leopard leaped out from the jungles edges and ran across the road just in front of him.

In fright he accelerated faster only to be blocked by a fallen huge rubber tree across the road.He tried to apply his emergency brakes but they failed him miserably.The sudden braking caused the motor cycle to skid.In skidding he crushed into the fallen rubber tree which was quite huge and had many branches.Rain was still raining heavily.

He was jammed within the branches of the fallen tree,but was able to summon all his bull strength, he struggled to pull himself together with the motor cycle out of the fallen tree.Once out of that mess he felt pain in his lips and as he reach out to feel it, he was astonished to find blood flowing from his injured lips.In that crushed he hurt himself especially his lips.

Fearing that the leopard was still lurking around,he immediately reversed his motor cycle and rode towards town,he was fortunate as the crushed did not kill off the engine because he had the present of mind to hold on to its clutch and free its gear as the accident happened.

He rode straight into the General Hospital,where the nurses quickly attended to him and they also treated his wounds on the lips.Next early morning the plantation Manager was there and then the Doctor came in.As s soon as he inspected Alex's injuries he surprised everyone by saying its was nothing serious.He can have those lips stitch up in no time.But he continued that after this he jokingly told Alex that he would not be able to kiss again in future.Well that caught the shy Alex off guard as he marveled at him.

That Doctor ,Dr Dorai as he was called stitched up his lower lip with few stitches.
The other minor injuries were cleansed and treated by the nurses.Alex was hospitalized for almost two days within which he met several beautiful girls especially some of the nurses.A beautiful nurse by the name Rosie,also attended to him, and they became instantly friends.

Alex was discharged two day later and rested for another three at the plantation.He returned to the Hospital for the removal of the stitches.The wound on the lower lips had closed up well but leaving a scar permanently there.For a young man it was okay as it did not effect his appearance.A tiny scar made him more macho isn't it so?.

Now that he was in the Hospital he went to locate Rosie but unfortunately she was not around being her off day.So he went to the quarters in search of her.He was lucky as she did not hesitate to meet him at the door.They chatted for a while and he made an appointment with her.And she agreed.So no disappointment.

That appointed day soon came and he was right at her door steps at the appointed day as she was not fully ready he had to wait for for for almost half an hour.They went out for a dinner and there after attended the the second film show for the night.He sent her home after a supper and as they were at her door steps Alex held her tight and gave her a good night kiss .Well,she too responded with much eagerness.With romance over he bide her goodnight.What a lovely evening.

It was lovely evening had he not made a bizarre mistake,for as they were kissing romantically his obsession for the girl he first love came out of his mouth unconsciously.This girl thought she heard wrongly and continue making love with him,but with a suspecting mind and so that night passed as if without any problems.

They made appointments for the following evening,Alex met his appointment with a clear conscience but that night as they were romancing in the garden nearby he made the blunder once again.In excitement he once again unconsciously repeated his usual mistake and called out the same."Linda I love you".That was it she heard it,yes Rosie heard it loud and clear.How unfortunate?.

Without hesitation she gave him a push,shoving him away from her,pointing furiously at him,"Why you liar, making love to me and calling out another woman's name,who is she anyway?"."no,no,dear I was saying Darling,I love you",Alex tried to bluff his way out.
"Oh no,I heard you clearly,yesterday I was not clear,but today I heard it alright.You said,Linda,I love you"."Well.what do you think I am? Your spare tyre?How dare you?"she continued.

Alex now knew he was cornered and shamefully admitted his fault and reviewing who Linda was.He begged for forgiveness but Rosie was too annoyed and cannot control her anger.She refused to listen to Alex and shouted at him "This is the last time I see you,don't call me again for I don't want to hear from you ever again".Then they parted company.Although Alex made several attempts to see her but she was never available all the time.That ended their courtship.

What a shame another beautiful girl broke off with him.This surely was a very charming girl who can matched Linda in all respects accept that she was slightly older than Alex by two years,and he had to spoil it for himself.That obsession for the first girl was definitely taking its toll on poor Alex,Whatever it was life must go on,it was a lesson to be learned.Thus Rosie will also be a memory leaving her mark behind,her loving kisses with medicated lips.

In sorrow he wept along the way home.It surely was a cold,cold night as he rode home to the plantation.It was also drizzling as he traveled home making it colder and he shivered in that condition,but he reached home safely,alright.He had a sleepless night that evening, well, as he was still very young this failure thus can be an another unfortunate encounter.

All were never lost as there were other options around,some maybe even better than her while others have other qualities.So he forgo this affair and went out hunting again and the girl in front of his quarter seem to be an easy prey,as he stood at his window to watch her.Well no sooner had he stood there that girl was already sitting in front of her house.

When their eyes met he smiled at her and acknowledge her presence with a little greetings.She was gamed and waved back at him.The following evening she was near the entrance of the office that he make an acquaintance with her and there they had a long chat for hours.What a start and before long he invited her to his sitting room where they again conversed for hours.This time he was more polite for he did not want to hurt another girl again.Nothing happened between them ,nor did he made advances towards her.He kept his distance.

Not that she was not attractive in fact she was charming, beautiful,well built,but he did not want to harm her,that simple.Had he made an advance towards her definitely she would have responded no doubt about that.Yes,so near yet so far.Her house was just in front of his any wrong move will land him into hot soup,so don't ask for trouble.

He went about his job as normal and only talked to this girl in the evening when he was free.His food was supplied by the Manager's house hold.Always sent to him by a small girl who also helped to sweep his house and washed up all the cups and plates for him.Both lunch and dinner were delivered to him.It was very kind of his Boss.That small girl was about thirteen years old and always tagged along were her younger sister or a friend.All very cute and beautiful girls.

Chapter 6 A lovely Old Dame

Going away from that plantation in Ulu Sapetang,Taiping was in deed a blessing in disguised,at least he will be away from that lovely girl whom he was reported to have jilted.Was she jilted? Was admitting the truth and leaving her in order not to hurt her further meant jilting her?

Oh Blessed Lord,please give him an answer.Did not had the courage to face her, face to face,made him quite a coward.He could not faced her and tell her gently that he could not love her because he still am madly love with another? That heinous cruel thing he had no guts to do.He knew his own weaknesses and to face her would only end up with him holding to her and kissing her---that only prolong the story.Then breaking up will even be more difficult.

So to leave her abruptly was the best way out,and now with him transferred away,things would work out just fine for both.The hurt on her would not be great and the wounds incurred could wear off easily.But she left her marked with Alex,her loving first kisses with Alex long to be remembered with fondness.The sweetness of that kiss still lingers behind for many,many years to come.

Now that transfer to Selama was in February 1962,Alex was sent there by the Boss.Arriving at that plantation he was introduced to the other staffs and was given a room at semi-detached bungalow.Any way it was a front room that he occupied.

Later that evening he arranged for transport to town to purchase some essential goods.It was an illegal taxi he went in to town but that was the only means of transportation on that plantation.That was really an old junk may break down along that stretch of road but he had no choice.

The town had only one main road and by the side of the town was a huge swamp with a drain running through it.Alex saw someone fishing there.Apparently that man caught a big "huruan" or snake head and was struggling with it.He had some food and brought some necessities before returning to the plantation by the same transport which had waited for him.

He also saw a group drinkers drinking hard liquor at a restaurant,and learned that they were ex -bandits or communists who had surrendered and living there as restricted residences.They in deed were enjoying lives there for they had plenty of money to drink and it seem almost every day they were drunk.After their surrender they were given a small living allowance but how could they effort to be drunk everyday?That question pondered in Alex mind.

Back at the plantation Alex had to work very hard as there was a replanting field there and he had to be in that field supervising the planting of budded stumps under the blazing sun.He also had to go into the tapping fields later.The rubber tappers there begin tapping the old rubber very early in the morning.Being new Alex volunteered to go and see how they performed their tapping so early in the morning.

So early next morning at about 2.00 a.m. he went with the "Kapala" into the old tapping areas.There he saw the tappers tapping the old trees with the aid of a tiny kerosene lamp attached to their fore heads.Many of the tappers were Chinese females.All of them were astonished as to why a staff had taken the trouble to supervise them that early.

The one in charged told Alex that was not necessary but Alex being new insisted that he just wanted to experience that,that was all.At times it could be quite frustrating when you try to do some thing some one else tell you off.Well he just wanted to experience first hand what it was to wake up so early to tap rubber.Nothing wrong or sinister about that.

In frustration he met a lovely divorcee and soon tempted to get entangled with her.It was lovely encounter worth remembering.With this experienced he now knew why a young man age about twenty in Taiwan could fall in love and married a woman more than twice his age.He can also viewed into that story of "Lady Chatterley's lover in dept.Here Lady Chatterley was undoubtedly an older woman while the lover was a young man.

Even Madonna(50) had pursued a young more than half her age as lover so did actresses like Demi Moore and Haile Berry.There is a longer list of them, anyway to substantiate my point that is sufficient for the time being.These women were termed as cougar a slang used in American pop culture to describe an older woman who sexually pursues younger men at least eight years her junior.

So Alex was lured into having an affair with an older woman as lover in that plantation.Whatever it was still he could not forget one name while indulging in love making with that woman.That was his first love at first sight.Even as he was making love to another woman.It was worth remembering because that woman was not only beautiful and absolutely sexy.Very voluptuous body and definitely can seduced any other man not only Alex.

However that affair only lasted three months or so before he was taken away by the Boss to be transferred to another plantation in Bentong,Pahang.But prior to this he when in to town where he introduced to a young slim,tall,and beautiful teacher,her name was Susan,and what a nice name.She was actually half Chinese and half Indian.
A black beauty in fact.

He had dated her once from that day and he took her to Taiping where they went for a film show and returned quite late that very evening.At the end of that date he stole a goodnight kiss from her it sure was sweet even though she did not response aggressively to his advances.She allowed herself to be kissed gracefully as he bide her "good night",promising to call her the following day.So they agreed to meet again for another date.That night he arrived at the plantation very late by the private taxi he had earlier arranged.

His other older lover was at hand to open the doors for him.Yes she had waited for him to come home from town.As he entered the house she gave Alex a very possessive hug and warm kisses.They retired to bed thereafter.

Now as his call to transfer came so rapid and so abruptly he could hardly had the time to inform Susan of his untimely departure and to say "good bye".It was after he had settled down in Bentong that he gave her a call but she was not available at that school,so he left a message for her,promising to call her again.He tried again only to be inform that she had just left that vicinity.Failing to locate her time and again,that relationship thus eluded him with no further followup.

What a sad ending for she could be the one to charm him into forgetting the first love but fate was always cruel.For one she was equally charming and wore a sweet and memorable smile which could easily charmed Alex into wild dreams.The distance now between this new girl were so far apart,evidently faded away from his plans.

His immediate departure from that plantation also saddened his older frame as it was sudden she shed some tears and not wanting to let go,but he had to leave.It was another sad goodbye.Nevertheless he requested her to follow him but she refused as she had other problems to attend to.After his transferred he did called her to join him but she did not bothered even to reply him,thus concluded that relationship.It was marvelous while it lasted and what an encounter?.It lasted only three beautiful and enjoyable months.

That affair will long be embedded in his mind.These experiences can never elude his mind.Never again can re-phased those relationship.An experienced worth living for.With his untimely transfer he too did not inform his friends from the neighbouring plantations.However those people were to easy to contact at a later time and their friendships remained in tagged.

From Taiping he traveled back to Teluk Anson to inform his family of his transferred to Bentong.By now the family had moved on to a rented wooden on the 2nd.Mile of Changkat Jong Road. That house was exactly opposite of the house of his first love.Though she just lived across the road they never did met again on this trip for he had to leave that next morning to Bentong.

Maybe she did see him but he never saw her,not that he did not want to see her because he dared not faced her as he had not made any headway in his career.He as usual was determined to become a success in life than only will he met and propose to her.This in reality was fat hope,never the truth.In fairy tales and in dreams maybe can but never in real life.

She as a beautiful and charming young girl definitely had a long line of admirers and with so many to choose from where will Alex be,perhaps at the end of the line.Nevertheless he never gave up his hope and continue believing that when there is will there will be a way,how ridiculous?

Chapter 5 One Kiss and Then Good-Bye

It was February 1960,that Alex joined the plantation in Taiping.He actually stayed at a distant uncle's house for the night before being picked up by the Boss of the plantation the next morning.

The house he passed the night was actually an estate supply shop.The family were very
hospitable and they took care of him very well,providing free lodging and food.They also helped him to inform the plantation Boss of his presence.That family have a number of children,five sons and a daughter.The eldest son was an excellent guitarist and he entertained Alex with his singing.

Next morning his Boss came in his Mercedes to pick up Alex to the plantation.The distance to the plantation was nearly nine miles,thereafter turned left into the plantation crossing a railway gate.The plantation was situated two miles from the main road.Both sides of that plantation were old rubber with bushy inter-rows, belonging to small holders.

The Boss drove straight into the Manager's bungalow,they waited a while for the Manager to return from the fields.After the introduction Alex was given a front room on the second floor of the bungalow.In actual fact there were only three rooms in that bungalow.Two huge rooms and one small front room.Alex chose the small front room because it had many windows thus more airy.One of the big rooms was occupied by the Manager and the other one empty.

Alex did not select that empty big room was because it was too big and he did not like the sight of it for he had an eerie feeling of it,so he selected the smaller room which was very airy.Very much later two recruits also joined him and they were given that big room.Was that room haunted? Yes,it was,Alex was right in not taking that big room.Apparently foot steps of someone walking can be heard from that room.Did they discover any ghosts? No,not yet!.

Early next morning he attended muster with the Manager.At the muster ground he was introduced to the Sr.Conductor,a Ceylonese in his fifties..He did the roll calls thereafter.Most of the workers were present and answered their names as soon as called out.As soon as completed they returned to the plantation office.

Alex being new was placed in charged of a second Division and had to cycle there by himself.The land there was very flat so bicycle could be used.All the rubber tappers also used them so was his "kapala".Being new apparently he was advised to begin from scratch.

The tappers in that division were majority female tappers and a few males.Almost all the rubber tappers were Chinese.He could not see their faces clearly because they had scarves over their heads ,while in the field with his "kapala"or" kangany".Coming receiving latex time he could see all their faces clearly.Almost half of them were young girls.Many of them beautiful and all smiling broadly at him.Alex pretended to be very cool in performing his duty.But his roving eyes was looking at those pretty ones.

All the younger girls were also watching him carefully and giggling as they whispered to each other.Talking softly and laughing aloud heartily.What were they talking about,definitely about Alex.

Alex had to cycle every morning to that division passing an estate and a small holding.After going through to that division,he came to know the owner of that small holding.She was there every morning to supervise her rubber tappers.A very fair but fat woman in her forties,wearing black spectacles,wearing "samfu",white gloves and long stockings.

Every morning Alex would wished her,"Hi,Good Morning Auntie".One day she suddenly stopped Alex and demanded Alex not to call her Auntie."Don't call me Auntie",she said."It makes me seem so old and I am unmarried, you know?Call me something else",she demanded."Very well,I shall call you Sister,okay?",asked Alex."that is at least better,but still not good enough I don't want to be your sister"she replied."Aiyo,then call you what?Like that very difficult,lah".said Alex.

"Oh? Very simple you can called me Miss Goh",she said.""Yes,Very well,Miss Goh".thus they became friends.At times she will bring along some delicious cakes and shared them with Alex.The Miss Goh was really something Rich and fat. Knowing her was not too bad for she was loaded.Alex 's imagination surely ran wild.

So whenever went out to Taiping town in the evening he would called her out and she gave Alex lavish dinners,Of course Alex pretended to settle the bills but she stopped him for doing so, Whenever in town Alex stayed at the distance relation's house.He never dared returned to the plantation late night because the inlet road to the plantation was haunted.

However one late evening he did tried to walk home on that that stretch of road between the plantation and the main.That evening he had no choice as he had not made prior appointment with his distance relatives so forced to endure that walk back to the plantation.That night it was pitched dark all the way because of impending rain.

Initially he walked as fast as he could but half way he saw a light in the nearby small holders.The light was the size of a football, floating and drifting in the air about three feet above from the ground.That really scared the guts out of him and in fright he began to run,doing less than 12 seconds for the 100 meters stretch.What a fantastic run,a run for his dear life.Was it 12 seconds, no, no, never but slightly above 13 seconds would be more accurate.

What ever it was he reached the bungalow in a horrified dash.He was totally exhausted when he reached the bungalow.Breathing hard, fast and sweating profusely.In panting he finally admitted he was really terrified at that sight of the light.The main gate of the bungalow was locked so he had to go to the small side door.That too was locked as it was passed 1.00 o'clock.It took him quite a while to recover his composure before he could called out for someone to open that door for him.After half an hour some one did come to relieve him with the opening of the gate, it was another new recruit.That was one horrifying experienced he encountered.

What an experience he had and he never dared attempt that again.Sometime back at that bungalow he experienced another sighting of the "fire ball" drifting in mid air near the bungalow.It was not him that saw the "fireball" first but the Manager some time after mid night and called out to him to watch the scary flying "fireball".The "fireball" drifted about at a distance and slowly vanished in the rubber plantation.Though it appeared scary but it never harm anyone.Days after he learned that "fireball" was in fact little ghost bred by "Bomoh"living nearby.

Back at work he had to face those rubber tappers every day.Many of them tried to be friendly with him and having no interest stayed away from them.

No matter how he tried there was always some attraction from these girls and there were so many.One fine day another attractive girl from the other division caught his attention.She was a very lovely petite young dame and charming too.He was infatuated with her.When she talked she wore a beautiful and attractive smile and that caught his attention and admiration.

So slowly he was tempted to date her out, he asked her.It was no surprised as she met his request with a smile.So he took her out for a walk,half way through he held her tightly and planted a lovely kiss on her lips.She responded with intensity so furious were the warm kisses that they clinked on to each other for quite a long moment.

It was sweet and lovely kiss that cannot be erased in the years to come.First its taste was so specially sweet and tender,Then that kiss was planted so beautifully that neither could ever forget it while it lasted.It was definitely a beautiful moment worth remembering.

But whatever it was beautiful or otherwise while kissing Alex lost his senses in calling out a different name,the name was "Linda,I love you".Poor thing that name was apparently inaudible to her and she only heard "I love you"as they kissed.What a ridiculous encounter.Well the fact remained that Alex remembered a certain name as he kissed this girl,what a shameful deceit.

Two day s later Alex was to return to Teluk Anson for a day or two,she even send him off at the Taiping bus station where he boarded a taxi home.It was a sad good bye as she was madly in love with him and so reluctant to let him go,His return to his home town was nothing more than having a glance or a look at the one he really love.

He in deed had a good look at her while she was cycling home with her group of friends.He saw her and looked forlornly into her eyes and she looked back,That starring moment lasted only few precious seconds.He too saw her at Church that evening but they never had the opportunity to even talked for so many friends wee around them.

Next day he was back at Taiping but on the way he gave thoughts to his affair with the girl in Taiping.Oh yes he knew he must not betray that girl in future.He made up his mind to leave that girl alone not wanting to hurt her further.He dared not even see her let alone meet her.That really broke her heart as she felt jilted and fell sick thereafter,Many advised Alex to see her and tell her the truth.

Alex was reluctant to face her as he knew facing her was the most difficult task to do,for he knew had he gone and seen her he would have relented and took pity on her ,following which will hold her and kissed her thus prolonging the affair.He rather they break abruptly then to break it gently hurting her more.Short and fast breaking will hurt for a short moment, but to prolong the affair and the hurt will be more serious when she found out he really loved another.In any case he only stole her heart nothing more,she was still as lovely as before.

So he told her friends ,tell her he was no good for her and he jilted her.And if cannot just tell her he do not love her.He is bad and a cheating heart.Say what you may, those lovely kisses they had still embedded within him for a long,long time to come.So it was one kiss and then good bye,what sad ending.It could have been the other way,loved her and lived with the memories of the girl love at first sight.Then will this love last,no I doubt but some will say love can further blossomed as days go by,will it.It may be but cannot be so with Alex...................

Luck was apparently with Alex for he was transferred out of that plantation
thereafter to another plantation along the northern boundary of Perak.The small town called Selama and then miles off into the interior towards the border.Although so far interior the whole stretch of laterites road passed through many plantations along the way.All beautifully maintained.

That stretch was very slippery during rainy seasons,so careless drivers usually landed in the ditch along the way.That road was reputed to be haunted as there were many people murdered during the emergencies.It used to be a Communist infested territory.

That girl was actually from Ipoh and each time Alex passed by Ipoh his thoughts immediately drove him to remember this girl- the girl he kissed and then good bye.

Chapter 4 Love At First Sight

That year 1959 Alex met a new friend James Ong.He was a very pious young fellow who attended Church services every week ends.He was from the Anglican Church in Telok Anson.

Alex often go to his house also along Changkat Jong Road one mile way from town.Alex remembered that his house was painted yellow,a funny colour definitely an Indian colour.No doubt those houses belonged to an Indian and James family rented one lot.

On one such visit James introduced a very charming and beautiful young girl to Alex.Yes,Alex was taken a back and fascinated by the girl's charming features.It was definitely a Love at first sight.Standing there almost speechless,he fell head over toes for her.Stunned by her beauty he admirably fixed his eyes on her adorably.
Her name was Linda.

Alex later learned that she was also going to attend the Church where James goes to,The Anglican Church.That evening he picked her up on the way and escorted her to the Church.He had a fine time talking to her.After Church service he also sent her home.That was the very start.

Every morning he will also cycled her to school and back as well.Yes,those were the happy days.However those happy days will soon come to an abrupt ending.He had his eyes on her but there was also some other wanting get acquainted with her.

Another tall and handsome guy was also waiting for her to pass by every morning smiling at her as she cycled by to school.It happened almost every morning and he was trying to make signs at her as she passed by.Alex also noticed that but kept silence.

Now Alex was never good in Maths,let alone Algebra that I think caught the displeasure of his second mother plus that new rich boy eying her every morning,the second mother pulled Alex aside and told him off politely. She said,"You young man when schooling must not talked about love.You must concentrate on your studies".

Alex received her message loud and clear.Yes,he knew that he being from a poor family was the main reason for telling him off,thus not fit to be her daughter's boy friend.Meaning she was making room for that rich boy to come in.That rich young man was favorable because he was rich,his father a successful coffee merchant.Alex was nothing compared to him.

Another thing was that that woman also had another daughter much younger than Linda,yet she was going steady with teachers's son.Should what she said were the truth she should have also stopped her daughter first but she never did.A bloody clear sign she wanted Alex off the field.

Having received that message Alex withdrew from their bungalow.On the way out tears began to flow from his eyes.Those fast flowing tears flooded his eyes drenching his cheeks.It was unstoppable.Once on the road he cycle and cycled madly without any destinations in mind.He just cycled on aimlessly.Poor boy he now realized that poor boy should not fall in love.He was badly hurt by this fact.

Getting really agitated and hopping mad he turned bad real bad within twenty-four hours.He left his regular roaming partners and also those at the Great World Park,he joined a gang of three to forged out the invincible foursome.Because of their close rapport such as brothers many feared them.Many wanted to recruit them into their gang but they flatly refused them,neither did they wanted them.

They roamed the streets till late at night.Fortunately they were never caught involved in gang fights but all of them were police suspects.By their individuals look people dared not challenged them those days.Neither were they involved in any criminal activities,for they just stuck together as a gang of their own.

Alex's family shifted out of that plantation .He and his brother Francis stayed in a rented room in Pasir Bedamar Road.It was a room on the top floor of a double storey wooden house.The room was small and much of their furniture were all stored that room.Their parents were working out station so only both brothers dwelt in that tiny room.

Alex as routine roamed the streets till late at night,thereafter burnt midnight oil studying for his forth coming examinations.He pretended not to be studying but in reality he did make an effort.He wanted to do well so that he can secure a better job in the near future.

The house owner a widow had a beautiful,slim and tall daughter with very long hair,about the age of Alex.As Alex was moving in and out of his room he was being watched by that charming girl.As he had some one else in mind Alex tried to ignore her.After about a week the girl was still taking noticed of him.

Then one late evening as Alex was moving towards his room he bounced into that beautiful girl.She slipped and Alex immediately held on to her,in that very instance their eyes met.Alex aroused by her beauty holding on to her gave her a kiss which she replied by grabbing harder at him and prolonged that kissed.So they kissed and kissed until Alex let her lose.From that moment she led Alex to her room where they continued romancing.

Her kisses were warm and tenderly sweet and there after they met every midnight with warm kisses and sweet talking only.Then one night Alex lost control of himself and made love to her.Yes he not only stole her heart but also her virginity.What a cheating heart he can be.
It was obviously his first attempt making love so it was worth remembering.One thing was immensely wrong with him for as he make love to her he will called out a name softly.

Luckily that girl did not hear that accept that,"I love you".That was a blatant lie,he never loved her as he was just infatuated with her, he loved another and her name was Linda.He misled that beautiful girl and she loved him madly.

That affair lasted for more than a month,for Alex had to report for duty at a plantation in Taiping, Perak.He left her promising to return whenever possible just to see her,it was a sad good bye for her as Alex bide her farewell with more kisses and love talked which were lies.What a cheating heart he turned out to be for he never kept his promised.

Out of sight out of mind - how true was that saying.No sooner had he joined the plantation his concentration was totally in his new job and so far off.Even if he returned home it was only for a day only as he was still on probation.So he never visited her again there after and so bye and bye they lost contact with each other.Such a heartless soul was he.How can he be so inhuman?.

He was a lost soul,trapped within trap with no outlet doors and in frustrations committed those uncalled for infatuations.Is it criminal?How can he admit to her while loving her called out another's name.He was obsessed by that name,Linda.

Chapter 3 Teenage Loves

"Why must I be a teenager in love?", laments Alex.
Not really,only part of some lyrics for a popular song those days.Those days the song of Ricky Nelson,"Someday" was also on everyone's lips.

Those happy teenager years in 1959.There was a fun fair organized by the Convent School,Teluk Anson at the Catholic Church's compound.Alex,his friends Johnnie and Richard were also present at that fair.As they wandered around the fair mainly viewing at girls,it was a Convent School fun fair so there many girls and the other boys also flocked there.

Arriving at a request booth where songs requested will be played at a price.Alex went to it requested that song "Someday" by Richy Nelson." Your request should be for Elvis's song,better",said Richard."I do not agree",said Johnnie."Johnny Mathis would be best"."Never mind,don't you both see I am requesting that song for some one special?",said Alex."Who?"asked Richard."Secret,secret",replied Alex."Nonsense,you don't have a girl friend,so don't you lie",said Johnnie."Now maybe No but after this maybe",said Alex."Aaaaa...." said both of them.

At that moment there were a few girls at another food stalls eying them
Seeing them Richard whistled at them,and they smiled back.Alex seeing that gave them a winked,waving to them.They smiled back.Then Alex recognizing two of them said,"I know where they live?"."Oh yeah,everything you know,tell me where?',asked Richard.

"Come out tonight and I will show you"said Alex.Following they went around to other stalls but all the food stalls and game stalls required coupons ,so Johnnie volunteered to buy them.A pretty girl was managing that stall assisted by another.
"Watch me",said Johnnie and went straight up to that stall."Hi,beautiful can I buy some coupons please?",he inquired.

Having been called beautiful the girl smiled charmingly back reviewing her toothless mouth.Johnnie got a fright and was taken a back how a beautiful girl can turn out to be toothless.The girl realizing her exposure quickly cover her mouth with a handkerchief.Johnnie however brought $10/= worth of coupons keeping his head bowed low as he complete the deal.

Walking away both Alex and Richard laughing heartily at the embarrassed Johnnie.
"Ha!Ha!ha!,very funny,both of you",said Johnnie."Very pretty but but toothless very pretty".,said Richard."Yeah lah both of you very funny"."But in reality she was pretty if only she had teeth on",said Johnnie.That was only a small joke at the fair but in real life she became Johnnie's girl friend years later.

There were many beautiful girls at that fair only all of them never got acquainted with any.They stayed there until noon and thereafter left for home.Come evening Richard met Alex and Johnnie and went on to the Great world Park,Alex showed them a bicycle parking shop where the two sisters were busy attending to people parking their bicycles there.

"There,the two sisters",shouted Alex."Let us pretend to park our bicycles there too",asked Richard."No,no do not waste our money we can have "Assam Laksa" two shop away and watched from there",said Johnnie. So they all went and ate some "Laksa".From there Richard saw the two sisters,apparently those two sisters noticed that they were being watched by Richard,began wriggling about happily.

"Ai yo they also interested in you lah,Richard",said Alex.No doubt about that as one of them became Richard's wife years later.That was the story.Alex did not developed any interest in either girls so it was up to Richard.

Alex stayed at the plantation's quarters were also quite interesting.The plantation also had quite a number of beautiful girls which Alex was infatuated with.First there was a very petite girl with a dark complexion,she was a rubber tapper in that plantation.Alex took a liking towards her but those around her discouraged her from liking Alex for he was only sixteen plus.A small boy in deed,and she was at least two years his senior.

But Alex was never left in a lurch for he had another interest in the Sundry shop operator's daughter,unfortunately also another girl two years than him.Alex was never discouraged at the age,what difference does that make,she was still a girl and an attractive one,too.An older girl can be more loving and Alex was all game for that.

He was just only infatuated with her loveliness nothing more,so he made many trips to that shop just to chit chat with her but opportunities were few as her mother was constantly around.Later,some one else dated her and she went out with him,thus Alex lost out.Getting fed up he accidentally playfully caught hold of her little sister and gave a peck on her cheek.

The twelve year old was caught by surprised and covered her eyes with her hands as Alex gave the peck on her cheek.She was smiling in astonishment after she was released by Alex.Her little brother saw the scene reported back to the elder sister.The sister when seeing Alex pointed an index finger at him warning."Do that again I have you prosecuted".

"For what?",replied Alex."For molesting my sister,that is why?",she said."That was nothing and never molesting,I was only showing my affection towards a lovely small sister,that's all-no ulterior motives,nothing sinister about it",replied Alex."Anyway tell you what, I will come back two or three years time to court your sister,I am sure by then she will be more beautiful than you",said Alex.
"You just don't try to funny again with my sister,or I will report you to the police",she said.

So there goes Geogie Porgie Pudding and Pie,Kiss the girl and make her cry.
Man, that was a naughty Alex,two or three years later did he returned to tackle that small cute girl.No,practically no,he was madly in love with another girl.That small girl grew up to be a fantastically beautifully and charming young woman which Alex over looked,what a waste of earlier efforts.

Chapter 2 Small Boy, small Girl Friend

In 6th.June 1942,a baby was born in a small town called Telok Mak Intan,during the Japanese occupation.Those cruel Japanese soldiers roaming the streets heavily armed shouting'"Pagiyaaroo!!!!!!",everywhere at the people they came across and every one seeing them must bowed or be arrested and be prosecuted as spies.

Those arrested if they be unable to satisfy those Japanese will faced their torture chambers.Tortures which included forcibly draining piped water directly into their throat or worst the pulling of nails etc..Such were some of the the cruelties of Japanese atrocities.They will also execute prisoners as they seem appropriate such were their insane justice.

An uncle of the baby (mother's brother) was arrested as a spy.Poor fellow was not even given a trial.That uncle was a handsome and tall guy,when facing the shorty Japanese soldiers they had to look up at him.This, surely annoyed them and did not like that and apparently forced him to kneel down.By this they can looked down on him.A more comfortable situation for them.

With his good youthful looked he was condemned as a spy outright and executed without trail. After the execution the poor mother had to bride the Japanese soldiers to allow her to search for his dislodged head among a pile of heads chopped and also those scattered around that compound.How awful and what a scary gruesome sight to behold let alone to locate her beloved son's head.The half dried thick blood bled over the heads,and those splattered all over the floor, made the search more difficult but the unyielding love of the frantic mother finally paid off as she retrieved it among that heap of heads.

The pile of dry skulls in "killing fields" were gruesome but these were heads just chopped only a short while ago,therefore many folds worst. Unstoppable tears from the mother could not quenched her sadness nor can it consoled her grieved.Finally it was hastily laid to rest with body and head together at the cemetery in Durian Sabatang in a very,very simple funeral for fear those Japanese might changed their minds about the head.

Those were the days under the Japanese occupation but presently they may have surrendered and gone but the spirits of those with heads chopped off still haunt the compound for the chopping block.Most notable was the one behind an old Chinese School,need not I reviewed that name it is in everyone's lips.Don't have to believe in me,just visit that eerie place late at night and you find them welcoming you with out stretched arms.Those horrible ghostly cries at night can still be heard.

Of course that was not the only place where they executed spies.For example the market was also an execution area and many others.

Fortunately the Japanese surrendered in 1945 and the baby now named Alex grew up under those Japanese threat.Well he was just a baby then all the above were related to him by his late paternal grandmother.As a child Alex used to run about the house and compound staked naked.Extra hyper active so much so his maternal grand mother nick named him,"Naughty,naughty,big bully Leong" or in Cantonese "Ngua Ching Leong".

It was only in at the age of six he begin wearing short pants and shirtless all the time.Neither was he worried about the cold.As a kid he used to play with all his cousins mostly girls make believe marriages etc., anyway what do kids so small know about girls.

Only about twelve years old that he walked a tall and beautiful girl home.That girl was the same age but she was very much taller than him at least by a shoulder to head.So it was quite an awkward situation and his friends teased him about it making him shunned a short distance away from that girl.What an embarrassing position he was in,fortunately being a big town girl,she was understanding with her encouraging smiles.However,still a boy could not understand fully about the difference between them.That relation did not blossomed, in the end.But it surely was a start for Alex.

Dolly was her name and she shifted away into Government quarters very near the Convent School,and he being so immature,Alex just let it be and did not follow up to extend his relationship with her.Thus the friendship evaporated into thin air.

Alex interest in girls was very dim although his school was co-education and he being small in statue was made to sit in front near to them, yet no close encounter between them.Of course there were then only a handful of them in his class.
They practically ignored and dismissed him and others in front as small boys.Those girls were by no mean taller and bigger in size.

He only developed an interest in girls when he was sixteen plus too late I presumed but that was a fact.Still those class mates did not interest him.By then his family being poor had shifted on to Changkat Jong Road where they resided in the plantation's quarters.

He roamed with school mates the streets of Teluk Anson only to look at girls but never dared to make any contact.Yes only enjoying the sight of pretty girls and learning to sing.Their favourite were songs by Elvis Presley,Ricky Nelson,Paul Anka and Johnnie Mathis.There were occasionally wolf whistles and never more than that.Those were his earlier days with girls.

Chapter 1 Beautiful Women

Beautiful women every where.They are adorable,attractive and desirable,pleasant to look at.
How do you term Beautiful women,? Or what are beautiful women?
Beauty is in the eyes of the beholder,yes very true.As one man's meat was another' s poison.Beauty should not be only skin deep,beauty should be in her charming personality,in the way she expresses and conduct herself.Beauty is the woman who has inner charms,gentle and soft spoken armed with patient and tolerance.She need not be voluptuous or shapely nor tall or slim.Being voluptuous enhance her to shine with confidence.Her achievements can be a consolation.

Ugly women are always bad looking,fat and plump,right? No,only joking,fat women can also be charming and beautiful within,besides really attractive..But most ugly woman are never beautiful and fearfully fierce,stubborn without confidence.Fat or otherwise.Whenever they opened their big mouths they roared away like a gorilla.Yelling and stomping the floor.Actually we cannot blame them for they are lost souls with no confidence at all.These assumptions could be wrong.extremely bias and ubfair to fat females.

Sadly it is I think a fact when a fat woman makes some grouses it could be amplified miles away
but on the hand should an attractive woman yelling at the top of her voice most people would take it lightly as though she speaking softly with sweet and inviting smile.Well,amI right???.It is an unfair world,so I say.

Beautiful women can be ugly awfully ugly when she rages in jealously and in hatred can do anything beyond her control and description.Therefore never offend these beautiful women.There were known cases of women in rage nipping off the little brothers of their men.Jealous wives in rage can destroy everything including herself and children.
Some how this disease had spread on to men of late.How dreadful and cruel of them,need I be emphasized more.No I would not dive straight into it, to describe those gruesome happenings.

Beautiful women should you looked at them they immediate reactions will be rubbing their noses with only the index finger,looking straight ahead as they drive.That was a beautiful poise I think. Or stroke her their hair gracefully and gently ,usually the left hand that was not holding the steering wheel.Those was a common behaviors to tell her admirers,"Hey,am I really beautiful?".Ha,ha,ha, just joking,but in reality many women were like that.


Women by nature were great chatterboxes or talkatives,right?First class rumours mongers.Please do not take offend ,ladies, this was only my assumption and opinion that certain women are like that. In reality not all women are like that,I know of certain ladies who were very conscious of the way they talked.Many were great orators.

Most beautiful women like be praised,right?Even it was not the truth they like to be praised.Likewise,it is rather rude to be honest and tell the one in front of you saying,"You are ugly".For that you could be presented with a direct slapped on both cheeks.

Beautiful women are easily irritated.They may flirt around with you but look or praise another woman in front of her,be careful she might send you into orbit and worst of all,dropped you like ball. So when dating beautiful women always be more attentive towards her.Better should you have other motives in mind, it be better you drop her rather than she does so to you.Flirting women drive home to you with the wrong impressions but do not try to smart and get a fresh with them,you might end up in the hospital for good.

Another thing beautiful women are they can never hid on concealed their anger,it is reviewing all over her face,actions and body language.Another charming point they can easily be contained without much fuss or hustle if you know how.

In any case most women unless they have interest in you they will never have a date with you.Of course there are many flirts around that can entertained you.Now a days unlike days of old girls tend to mature at an exceptionally young age.I have seen girls as young as eleven or maybe only ten flirting around with slightly older boys,holding hands and kissing.Absolutely nothing wrong?.Boys at that age are not mature enough to go after girls their age,right?

Many beautiful women are competitive,they are addicted to out do all others,in looks and in everything you can imagined.Actually we do not have to go far to support what I say.Just take good look at the Blogger world for example.A very well known blogger is a young woman I do not have to say her name because if you were a blogger you should know.

I have studied her blog and assumed her meteoric rise was quite a remarkable achievement for a young woman and there are another two or three others in similar category as her.I noted with great interest how she reached that height together with those who followed her.

She began like all blogger but she had her advantages,for she had her beautiful and youthful looks.That beauty that enchanted many young men,even a young Doctor apparently, was said to have commit suicide on account of her.True? I don't know but to me that was a brave stupid man.

Firstly she enticed many with her seductive photos exposing slightly in her blog,those very appealing and sexy photos attracted many to read her blog.As if insufficient she further claimed that she was nearly a victim of that womanizer Edison Chen,that funny looking young actor/singer with a hooked nose.This fellow was the guy that enjoyed filming female actresses in sexy poses,much of which were actually extracted from videos,claiming as his conquests.He was an exhibitionist freak. That alone drew in thousands of readers to her blog.

As if not enough she and two other extremely pretty female blogger began a war of words over their blogs challenging each other.To me all these were cleverly planned publicity stunts for all of them,to enhance their popularity and recruited more readers making them the best blogger around,all of them.They also went a step further to even quarrel over the internet about they having gone through plastic surgeries on their nose etc.,etc.,and when enough they apologized to each other and make up.What a fantastic show.Very good advertisements difficult to be emulated by all in order to be famous as a Blogger.

By so doing she,being the most popular blogger she has generated an annually lucrative incentives for herself.Well she is damn lucky and extremely clever to have motivated a strong line of followers ,call her names if you may,naive,freak or cheeky whatsoever,I think she could not be bothered for she successfully had it made for herself.Her arch "rivals" are not far behind her.
Women surely have brains.Beauty with brain a commodity difficult to find.
