Chapter 9 Hindu Temple Celebration

There was an Indian Temple at the plantation and every year they had clebration where free vegetative lunch were provided.

On that day Fabian and Francis after helping their mother cleaning latex cups and later collecting latex quickly made excused from other chores to be there.THe Yap brothers were already at the shop waiting for them.Veloo and the Indian gang were also there.

The excited group walked to the temple which was about half a mile away from the lines.Many people were already there eating.Fabian and his gang took up positions whenever there was an empty slop available.Very soon his gang had occupied most the spaces.

Lunch was served on banana leaves provided.Fabian was sitting oon the floor next to Veloo.When the man serving came he served rice Veloo requested slightly more,Fabian and the other follow suit.Then came the vegetarian dishes.There was long beans,"Parapu"or "kachang" as everyone called and some sour vegetables.All neatly scooped on to the banana leaves.Eating was with their hands.

As they were enjoying their meal.the elder Yap saw Ah Har and her fat female friends also came with several others.Yap pulled Fabian's hand telling him Ah Har was there.Fabian looked up and saw her in front of him and wished her.She smiled back.

"Got no place?"asked Fabian and she nodded."Don't worry I am finishing my meal so were my friends,we will give you our places".
"Hoi! eat faster all of you",said Fabian.All of them looked at Fabian showing signs of reluctance.

Seeing this Fabian made body languages that he will buy them drinks later and they agreed to consume their food faster.So they eat faster and surrendered their places to the girls.

As they left all of them criticized Fabian,"Eh? giving up our places just because you wanted to tackle that girl so ridiculous of you,shame on you"."Yeah lah",said small Yap.

"Anyway,you as promised must buy each a drink,now we go to the shop to see your next girl friend",said Veloo."Anyway actually which of the two you like, most",asked Elder Yap.

"No,lah just ordinary friends",replied."Then don't do this and that for them",said Francis."You small boy keep quiet",said Fabian.And all shouted back,"You shutup,you Romeo".All of them laughed and walked back to the shop.

Fabian was not in love with either of them just plain simple infatuations nothing more than that,not even puppy loves.How can a young boy of fifteen fall in love or has he not meet the correct one = his dream girl.Read on to find out.
